The stick framing on the front of the house. Who needs the county inspector as long as dad is around!

The first half of the stick framing on the back of the house.

upstairs bathroom, also where the original roof is. Bruce cut the eaves all around the house to make it all fit flush.

Our utility closet and through that you can see the master bathroom, closet, study.

This is the kitchen and to the left is the pantry.

Here we start the tour of the inside. When you walk into the entry way there will be stairs, to the right is the piano room.

Our prayers for no rain were trumped! Oh well...every weekend since we started has been rainy or even snowy.
Here are the views from the second story

Who remembers the pink brick hiding under the siding? Anyone responsible for chipping away or carving names in that old brick?

The second floor has since been added with all of the exterior walls. We are filling in the porch with dirt getting it ready for the porch cap. We are hoping for a roof in about 2 weeks. Pray with us for "no rain!"
As you can see the foundation is firm, the walls have been erected, and we can roam through our new space envisioning what it will be like to not live like sardines! Being crammed into our one and only bathroom is a little more pleasant knowing we will soon have breathing room.

It Has Begun!!

Believe it or not - our childhood dream of adding onto our Heritage House is ready to come true. I want you all to be a part of it with me and give a cheer HIPPER DE DEEP HOORAH! Here is Home Sweet Home as we all knew it, right down to the crumbling roof.
